\u201cHibakusha\u201d to spotkanie trzech postaci: ameryka\u0144skiego naukowca oddanego bez reszty fizyce i jej odkryciom, hinduskiego boga Sziwy i tytu\u0142owego hibakusha \u2013 Japo\u0144czyka, kt\u00f3ry prze\u017cy\u0142 dwukrotny wybuch bomby atomowej.<\/p>\n

Sziwa jest bogiem niszczycielem, kt\u00f3ry z filozoficzn\u0105 swad\u0105 przygl\u0105da si\u0119 \u015bmiertelnikom, prowadzonym przez nich wojnom i paradoksalnym pragnieniom, by skonstruowa\u0107 nowy rodzaj broni, maj\u0105cej sta\u0107 si\u0119 “gwarantem pokoju”. Koordynator Nag\u0142ego Rozerwania to Robert J. Oppenheimer, zwany ojcem bomby atomowej. Jako wsp\u00f3\u0142tw\u00f3rca niszczycielskiej broni dokonuje osobistej wiwisekcji, usi\u0142uj\u0105c zrozumie\u0107 jak dosz\u0142o do zaanga\u017cowania nauki na rzecz zabijania. Hibakusha – ten, kt\u00f3ry prze\u017cy\u0142 – to Tsutomu Yamaguchi, prawdziwy \u015bwiadek eksplozji bomb atomowych w Hiroszimie i Nagasaki. \u017byj\u0105c w kraju, gdzie \u015bmier\u0107 ceniona jest bardziej ni\u017c \u017cycie, usi\u0142uje zrozumie\u0107 sens dwukrotnego przetrwania atomowego kataklizmu.<\/p>\n
