It was the first play adapted for a live performance with the audience participation at the Green Eye Theatre. It was also the first radio play at the Green Eye Theatre directed by a woman (sic!).
“Autopsy” is a radio play adapted from a TV series yet to be aired. The main character of the play is professor Olgiert, a forensic doctor and detective. The action is set in 1946, the professor is being interrogated by the Ministry of Public Security as the enemy of the people. The interrogation is a pretext for going down the memory lane for professor Olgiert – we go back to 1919, when Poland has just regained independence, and he came to Cracow to take lead of the Faculty of Forensic Medicine.
As he steps of the train, he gets approached by the police, who ask him for help solving a murder case of a young woman, whose body has been found. While professor Olgiert is doing an autopsy, the police receive a package – a hat box with… a woman’s head inside. Are these two cases connected?
A complicated investigation ensues.
