My name is Dana Łukasińska. I am a scriptwriter, playwright, dramatist, author of novels and comic book scripts. This artistic crop rotation is an excellent practice for developing my literary craft, as well as an opportunity to broaden my horizons and prevent mental ossification. I live in Warsaw, my hometown is in Piotrków Trybunalski. I graduated from the Special Education Department (major in speech therapy) at the Maria Grzegorzewska University.
I studied creative writing at the Drama Laboratory (Dramatic Theatre), Script Laboratory (Polish Film Institute), Film Novella Conservatory (PFI), Dramatic Forum (Theatre Institute).
Michelangelo Antonioni’s “L’Avventura” was my first cinematic love, and after that his “Blow-up”, which I watched on TV at night as a teenager.
I am passionate about history, medicine, criminology, forensic medicine, forensic anthropology, film and cinematography. I am also a huge fan of film festivals: New Horizons, Five Flavors, Docs Against Gravity.
I love learning new things, and I the feeling that there’s still so much to learn is with me at all times. And it grows stronger as I get older.
I’ve been learning Mandarin since April 2015. In 2017 I passed the Chinese Proficiency Test HSK 3, and I’m currently preparing for HSK 4. Making movies in China is one of my dreams. I know it may sound crazy, but you have to dream big.
